To be honest, I'm feeling a little caught of guard that we're this far into the year already I’m having this instinct to pace back and really make sure I’m taking care of myself. This is one of my all time favorite quotes and put simply, in times of hardship or just a day when you have a very full plate, all you need to do is move. Walk around the building you work in after a stressful phone call, be actively playing with your kids at the park, or even head to a workout class early to log a mile on your favorite piece of cardio equipment to recenter.
Not only do long term statistics say they those of us who walk at a moderate pace for just 20 minutes a day will live 3-5 years longer than those us of that do not… but the real time results of mental clarity and reduced blood pressure are immediate and worth their weight is happiness gold.
