Q:What’s the most effective way to be honest with yourself and stay accountable to your goals?

A: Simple: GOO-YOW (get out of your own way)! It’s hard to reach those goals if they’re just in your head. Here’s how to make them concrete:

  1. Put your workout schedule in your calendar.
  1. After each session, write in a journal what you did and how you felt. This shows you the measurable progress you’re making, which will help sustain your motivation.
  1. Be vocal about your plan. The more you talk about it, the more it becomes real for you—and the more real, the more dedicated you’ll be.
